Our Story
In 2009, a man was driving home from work when he noticed a vacant spot on Route 40. The next day, he shared a bold idea with his wife: they should start a business there. With nothing but determination and hard work, he took on the challenge of building out the store by himself. There was no power, no heat, and no light, but somehow, he made it work. Every night, they returned home late, exhausted but motivated to bring their vision to life. One month later, MonaS Nails Salon opened its doors.
At the time, their two daughters were in middle school and high school. After school, they would come to the salon to help however they could. Though the younger daughter was too young to do much, the older daughter quickly gained popularity for her creative nail designs. Customers would wait hours just to have her work on their nails. Meanwhile, their parents handled the full sets and fill-ins, combining their skills to build a loyal client base that has supported the salon ever since.
Fifteen years later, the older daughter moved out of state, and the family business continues to thrive, now supported by the parents and their extended family, including the aunties. After finishing college, the younger daughter decided to take over the family business. Today, she leads MonaS Nails Salon, carrying forward her family's legacy with a vision for continued growth in the years to come.

We are located in Edgewood, Maryland, on Route 40 in the same shopping center as Pats Pizzeria.
